Ian Alexander is an innovative sinus surgeon, inventor, entrepreneur, bodybuilder, biohacker who still puts his pants on one leg at a time- or just wears a kilt. This native New Mexican started his practice in Los Alamos, NM and in 15 years expanded the practice into 3 states delivering care to underserved areas with his multiple inventions, innovative surgical techniques, and unified healthcare system utilizing physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and bringing many of the necessary imaging and testing under one roof forging a new way of healthcare delivery. He has also developed a new way of treating and seeing patients utilizing all available modalities to not just resolve their primary symptom, but to improve their overall health and happiness recognizing that often disease is just the reason for the visit and the actual cause is something much deeper. He is known for being gregarious, spending way too much time talking and getting to know his patients, and for using out of the box treatments individualized for each person. He dedicates himself to not just talking the talk, but walking the walk.
That characteristic walk has earned him the title Hulk Doc, and when he walks in the room, his patients immediately know why and wonder how a surgeon can have such huge arms and conduct such delicate surgery! Just as the Hulk was created in a lab, Hulk Doc has extensive research (over 100 publications and studies) and almost equal amounts of medals and trophies from bodybuilding competitions. All of this is done to help him influence and treat his patients- even his own dad- so that they may live their best lives. His mantra is GREATNESS and he eats other lesser doctors for breakfast- but only if they have enough protein. He doesn’t believe in high fat diets!
