Dr. Joseph Brown is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving patients throughout the Tampa Bay area. Raised in a family of teachers and construction workers, he grew up with hard work, dedication, and clear communication as guiding values, and spent ten years working construction alongside his father before pursuing medicine. Watching his mother battle breast cancer gave him a lasting understanding of how much quality care and honest communication mean from the patient's side of the table — a perspective that still shapes his practice today. He treats everyone who comes to him as he would his own mother, wife, or child.
Dr. Brown completed medical school at Rutgers University and went on to plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University, where he became the first plastic surgery resident to earn the Outstanding House-staff Teaching Award — an honor he received twice while training under some of the most respected plastic surgeons in the world. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties for the specialty of plastic surgery. Dr. Brown has been providing state-of-the-art care to patients in the Tampa Bay area since 2015.
