With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, Lori's entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 when her position was eliminated. Rather than allowing this setback to define her future, she recognized an opportunity to better serve Hawaii's healthcare community. With no startup capital, the encouragement of her supportive husband, and the trust of one healthcare provider, Lori helped co-found a medical billing business that began with just one client. Through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence, the business grew to support multiple medical practices across Kauai and Oahu. In 2018, Lori reached another significant milestone when she purchased the business, becoming its owner.
Today, Lori leads Lotus Medical Billing with a passion for helping healthcare providers navigate the complexities of medical billing while allowing them to focus on patient care. Her journey from an unexpected layoff to business co-founder and eventually business owner is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of believing in yourself.
