Melanie and Jeff Siesser are the owners of Rancho Victoria Vineyard & Winery, a 315-acre estate in California's Amador wine country. Their journey into wine began unexpectedly while searching for the perfect property to build a home. They weren't looking to buy a winery, and neither had any wine industry experience, but they fell in love with the property, the vineyard, and the possibilities. They took a huge leap of faith and purchased Rancho Victoria in January 2025. In their first year, they brought new energy to the estate, grew the wine club by 43%, and expanded its concerts, events, and guest experiences.
Rancho Victoria is truly family-owned and operated. Jeff oversees the 100-acre vineyard and agricultural operations, while Melanie leads the Tasting Room, events, marketing, and overall business operations. She is also the creator of Wine Country Cowgirl, a personal brand sharing an inside look at winery ownership, ranch life, and the realities of building their businesses. Their son, Wyatt, works full-time as Ranch Manager overseeing the cattle operation, and their daughter-in-law, Kassie, serves as Tasting Room Assistant Manager. Alongside an incredible team, they are building a destination that brings together wine, ranch life, entertainment, and community. They have also launched Herd & Harvest, their ranch-raised beef business, with plans to offer their beef through the Tasting Room and create a Wine & Beef Club. What began as an unexpected opportunity has become a shared passion and a vision far bigger than either of them originally imagined. Together, they are building something rooted in family, fueled by hard work and a willingness to take risks, while proving that sometimes the best chapters in life are the ones you never planned for.
